Newly based in Detroit, Syd Burnham is a 20 year old musician exploring new ways of expressing herself through music. Since fourteen years old Syd has been traveling the state of Michigan playing bars, breweries, and pretty much anywhere else that would give her the chance to play. Some performances include headlining Beaver Island Music Festival and Nor Easter Music festival with her band Red Herring. Other appearances include different local news stations as well as various podcasts and radio shows such as Ann Arbors 107.1. Syd has also found herself on the blind audition stage for NBC’s “The Voice” and left that experience with some new found knowledge of the music industry away from Michigan. As she grows into herself, her music has found a way to incorporate many genres including folk, rock, and pop to create a unique sound. Her Debut EP “The Yellow Ablum” was released in 2016 at the age of 16 years old followed by the album “ Timeline” in 2019 when she was 19. Her galvanizing vocals and guitar talents work together to show off her energetic personality sure to electrify any stage.
