About Me
What Makes a Successful Design?
My goal as a designer is to bring enthusiasm and passion to communicating a message. A successful design is one that has been refined by both the designer, client, and potential audience. In the age of technology, we so passively experience and many designs are passed by through scrolling. I believe the goal of the new age is to present something to an audience that is original and eye catching so that it cannot be forgotten and rather revisited.
What is Your Creative Process?
My creative process is to first create a world around the subject. I want to know the post I can about the subject I am designing so I can present it accurately. A deep dive into the history of the subject, finding the color palate, and living with the subject in my mind usually conjures up my first drafts.
How did you find yourself interested in Design?
My history in a creative medium has always been music where I often have had to play many roles for myself such as songwriter, recording engineer, booking manager, merch designer, and more. In short, I needed to learn how to make myself as a musician a product and to explain my musical world online, I had to learn how to work with graphics. By playing all of these roles, every version of myself was able to appear and collectively I created a world of my own design within my work.
